The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 trophy tour recently stopped at Delhi Public School, Aligarh, the former school of Indian cricketer Rinku Singh. The event, attended by Singh’s parents, friends, school principal, and others, included cricket-themed activities and a virtual interaction with Singh, creating a memorable experience for students.
Under the ‘Class of 26’ initiative, the trophy tour is visiting former educational institutions of Indian cricket players to celebrate their early years and connect students with the trophy and India’s cricket journey. The tour also visited St. Bede’s Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School in Chennai, alma mater of all-rounder Washington Sundar, and Dharmsinh Desai University, where all-rounder Axar Patel studied, engaging students in interactive sessions and cricket matches.
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 is set to be held from February 7 to March 8 in various venues in India and Sri Lanka, including iconic stadiums like Narendra Modi Stadium, MA Chidambaram Stadium, and Eden Gardens. The trophy tour aims to inspire the next generation of cricketers by connecting them with the rich history of Indian cricket.
