IFTDA President Ashoke Pandit expressed his disapproval of India participating in the T-20 World Cup against Pakistan. Pakistan recently confirmed a match against India on February 15 in Colombo for the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. Pandit emphasized his stance against sporting engagements with Pakistan due to its association with terrorism.
Pandit highlighted that engaging in sports with a country known for promoting terrorism would disrespect the sentiments of Indian citizens and the sacrifices made by security forces. He firmly stated that India should refrain from any sports or business interactions with Pakistan, emphasizing the nation’s terrorist activities.
Reiterating his position, Pandit reiterated his opposition to any form of sports or business dealings with Pakistan. He referenced Pakistan’s initial decision not to play against India, which was later reversed following high-level discussions and directives from the Pakistan government.
