Russian player Anna Kalinskaya put up a strong challenge against World No. 2 Iga Swiatek at the Margaret Court Arena during the Australian Open. Despite a tough fight, Swiatek managed to secure a 6-1, 1-6, 6-1 victory, advancing to the fourth round of the tournament.

Swiatek, the second seed, displayed a dominant performance, quickly taking a 5-1 lead in the opening set. However, Kalinskaya fought back in the second set, causing Swiatek to struggle and lose her serve multiple times.

After a brief medical timeout, Swiatek returned with determination, winning five consecutive games in the final set to clinch the match. Despite Kalinskaya’s efforts to resist, Swiatek’s strong gameplay and composure ultimately led to her victory.

Swiatek, a six-time Grand Slam champion, is aiming to achieve a career Grand Slam by winning the Australian Open. With an impressive record at the tournament, she continues her pursuit of success in the competition.
