Igor Tudor has agreed to manage Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League on an interim basis until the season’s end, taking over after Thomas Frank’s recent dismissal. Tottenham made this move due to a challenging performance, leaving them just five points above the relegation zone, aiming for stability to avoid further decline.
Tudor, aged 47, is returning to coaching after leaving Juventus in October 2025. His time at Juventus concluded with an eight-game winless streak, resulting in the team dropping to eighth place in Serie A. The Croatian coach has a diverse background in European football, having managed teams like Lazio, Marseille, Galatasaray, and Udinese.
With managerial experience at various clubs, Tudor notably led Lazio to a seventh-place finish and Europa League qualification in 2024. His managerial success includes winning the Croatian Cup with Hajduk Split in 2013. As a former player, Tudor achieved significant milestones at Juventus and represented Croatia in the 1998 FIFA World Cup semi-finals.
While Tudor’s appointment at Tottenham is temporary, he could be considered for a permanent position based on his performance. Other potential candidates for the Spurs’ managerial role include Mauricio Pochettino and Roberto De Zerbi, with Pochettino currently coaching the United States men’s national soccer team.
