The sudden drop in temperatures and increased cloud cover are attributed to a fresh western disturbance affecting northwest India, creating favorable conditions for thunderstorm activity and intermittent rainfall.
Western disturbances frequently trigger weather fluctuations during the pre-monsoon period, leading to thunderstorms, dust storms, and lower daytime temperatures. Similar weather events have been observed across Delhi-NCR recently, providing relief from the prolonged heatwave. After days of intense heat, the latest weather system is expected to bring cooler conditions in the coming days.
