All-rounder Anukul Roy, aged 27, has been included in the India A squad for the upcoming tri-series against Sri Lanka, replacing Harsh Dubey. The tri-series, set for June 9-21 in Dambulla, will involve Sri Lanka ‘A’ and Afghanistan ‘A’, with Tilak Varma leading the team and Riyan Parag as vice-captain.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the addition of Anukul Roy to the India A squad, citing his replacement of Harsh Dubey, who received his first call-up to India’s Test and ODI squads for the series against Afghanistan. Anukul gained recognition as a top wicket-taker during India’s successful ICC Men’s U19 World Cup campaign in 2018, showcasing his left-arm spin skills.
Anukul Roy, known for his left-arm spin, was a key player for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2026, contributing significantly with eight wickets and 43 runs. His standout performance in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025, where he excelled as the third-highest run-scorer, demonstrated his all-round abilities. India ‘A’ is scheduled to kick off their tri-series campaign against Sri Lanka ‘A’ on June 9, followed by a match against Afghanistan ‘A’ on June 11.
