Following leg-spinner Prema Rawat’s call-up to the senior national team for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, the BCCI Women’s Selection Committee has made significant changes to the India A squads for the upcoming bilateral series against England A. All-rounder Niki Prasad joins the India A T20 squad, while off-spinner Minnu Mani has been included in the One-Day setup.
The Women’s Selection Committee announced the additions, stating, “Niki Prasad has been added to the India A T20 squad. Minnu Mani has been added to the India A One-Day squad.” Initially, Niki was part of the One-Day squad, Mani was in the T20 setup, and Prema was in both squads. However, due to Shreyanka Patil’s injury and Prema’s promotion to the main squad, the selectors swiftly filled the vacancies in the India A squads.
Anushka Sharma will lead the updated T20 squad with Vrinda Dinesh as vice-captain, while Harleen Deol will captain the One-Day side, supported by vice-captain Pratika Rawal. India A’s tour of England includes three T20Is starting on June 20, followed by three ODIs from July 1.
