The Prime Minister mentioned that the relationship between India and Italy has gained momentum, direction, and confidence under the leadership of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. He noted the close cooperation in defence and security, highlighting the deep mutual trust between the two nations. PM Modi also emphasized the increasing cooperation between the defence industries of India and Italy, particularly in areas like maritime connectivity and blue economy.
India and Italy’s joint initiative against terror financing was underscored as a significant example of responsible democracies taking concrete steps against terrorism. PM Modi announced a shared commitment to the principle of designing and developing in India and Italy to deliver globally. Italy’s reputation for design and precision, combined with India’s strengths in scale, talent, and innovation, will drive this collaborative effort forward.
