During a meeting with Nepal Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal, Jaishankar underscored the special relationship grounded in trust, goodwill, and mutual benefit, with collaborations in trade, commerce, energy, and culture.
Jaishankar stressed the importance of maintaining security along the open border and ensuring uninterrupted fuel supplies to Nepal amid regional crises. He acknowledged the recent visit of Nepal’s Rastriya Swatantra Party chief to India, expressing best wishes for the success of Nepal’s government. The minister conveyed a message of collaboration, aiming to elevate India-Nepal relations by tapping into their full potential through enhanced cooperation.
