This marked the second India-Russia round table this month, following a previous meeting on April 16. The discussions focused on various aspects of cooperation in the steel sector, such as raw material sourcing, technological collaboration, equipment manufacturing, and research opportunities. Both sides viewed these meetings as crucial platforms for exchanging views on mutual interests and strengthening cooperation in the steel industry.
The dialogue emphasized the significance of continuous engagement and cooperation between India and Russia. The discussions underscored the enduring partnership between the two nations and their commitment to further enhancing collaboration in the steel sector. Efforts are being made to share advanced steelmaking technologies, particularly for high-grade and specialty steels used in automotive and defense applications. Additionally, there is a mutual interest in exploring sustainable, green steel production and low-emission technologies.
