India’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Suhel Khan, and Saudi Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture Abdulrahman Abdulmohsen AlFadley signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Cooperation in Water Resources during Saudi Water Week in Jeddah. The MoU aims to enhance collaboration, build capacity, and promote the exchange of best practices in water resources planning, sustainable water management, and irrigation systems. The signing marks a significant step in strengthening the strategic partnership between India and Saudi Arabia.
Consul General Fahad Suri also attended the signing ceremony. Additionally, India’s Deputy Chief of Mission Abu Mathen George and Counsellor Y Sabir held discussions with Ahmed Abdulaziz Bin Salamah, Head of Expatriate Affairs Division in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia. The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation concerning the Indian community in Saudi Arabia.
Ambassador Suhel Khan recently met with Riyadh’s Governor Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to discuss the growing bilateral relations between India and Saudi Arabia. During the meeting, Ambassador Khan expressed his appreciation for the support received during his tenure in Riyadh and Governor Faisal’s continued care for the Indian community in Saudi Arabia. Both parties acknowledged the positive trajectory of the bilateral relations.
