India expressed condemnation for the recent attacks on the United Arab Emirates (UAE) that left three Indian nationals injured. The Ministry of External Affairs urged an immediate halt to hostilities and the targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure in the region.
The Ministry emphasized the unacceptability of the attacks in Fujairah that resulted in injuries to Indian nationals and reiterated the call for dialogue and diplomacy to restore peace and stability in the Gulf. India also advocated for free navigation through the Strait of Hormuz in accordance with international law.
The Indian Embassy in the UAE confirmed the injuries of three Indian nationals in the attacks and assured coordination with local authorities for their medical care and well-being. Meanwhile, the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced what it termed as Iranian aggression and held Iran responsible for the attacks on civilian sites.
