India took control of the one-off women’s Test at Lord’s on Day 2, finishing at 154/1 in their second innings, extending their lead to 269 runs. Kranti Gaud’s five-wicket haul and Smriti Mandhana’s unbeaten half-century propelled India’s dominance.

England, starting at 113/5, struggled as India’s bowlers swiftly wrapped up their innings for 170. Despite efforts from Nat Sciver-Brunt and Amy Jones, India’s strategic breakthroughs limited England’s recovery.

Kranti Gaud shone with a crucial five-wicket haul, while Mandhana and Shafali Verma’s solid opening partnership further solidified India’s position. Mandhana’s composed fifty and Bhatia’s confident batting ensured India’s strong lead at 154/1 by the end of the day.
