Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, Jitin Prasada, highlighted initiatives like the India Semiconductor Mission and the IndiaAI Mission, which are creating new opportunities for research and innovation-led growth. The government is dedicated to establishing a supportive environment through progressive policies, business-friendly practices, and improved technology access.
The Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) recently organized the ‘STPI Tech Summit 2026: India’s Next Leap,’ bringing together government officials, venture capitalists, and ecosystem enablers. Prasada emphasized the role of institutions like STPI in promoting entrepreneurship, fostering innovation, and developing cutting-edge solutions for global markets. S. Krishnan, Secretary, MeitY, stressed the importance of leveraging STPI’s legacy to drive growth in emerging regions.
STPI’s ability to convene various stakeholders has been a key strength, facilitating collaboration among entrepreneurs, mentors, venture capitalists, and industry players. By connecting different regions and supporting startups, STPI aims to empower India’s youth, promote entrepreneurship, and generate quality job opportunities, especially in the AI sector. Arvind Kumar, Director General, STPI, highlighted the organization’s significant contribution to India’s digital economy over the past 35 years.
