In a recent incident in Pahalgam, India, terrorists from Pakistan infiltrated and brutally killed 26 men in front of their families, highlighting the deliberate targeting of civilians to instill fear and disrupt trust.
India’s response to the Pahalgam attacks, known as Operation Sindoor, marked a significant shift in approach. This included the suspension of key aspects of the Indus Waters Treaty, a move triggered by the heinous act of terrorism. The decision to halt the sharing of hydrological data critical for Pakistan’s agriculture was in line with international law, specifically Article 62 of the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties.
