India will host the Bharat Electricity Summit 2026, a significant global conference and exhibition for the power and electricity sector. The event, scheduled from March 19 to 22 at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi, aims to gather global power leaders to discuss key priorities in India’s electricity ecosystem. The summit will bring together policymakers, regulators, academia, sector experts, utilities, investors, innovators, and industry leaders for high-level technical sessions.
Themed “Electrifying Growth. Empowering Sustainability. Connecting Globally.,” the summit will offer a comprehensive program including strategic conferences, technical conferences, leadership panels, and industry interactions. With over 100 high-level conference sessions, more than 300 speakers, and participants from over 80 countries, the event will also feature over 500 exhibitors, including 100 startups. It is expected to draw over 25,000 visitors, positioning it as a major global platform for electricity-focused discussions.
The summit will emphasize vendor development as part of the ‘Make in India’ initiative and focus on advancing indigenous technologies in various areas such as solar power, energy storage, transmission infrastructure, and digital distribution technologies. The Ministry of Power highlighted investment opportunities exceeding Rs 50 lakh crore in generation, transmission, distribution, and storage until 2032.
State governments’ participation will play a crucial role in strengthening India’s electricity framework, promoting renewable energy integration, modernizing grid infrastructure, and enhancing power distribution efficiency nationwide. The exhibition, covering a vast area of over 20,000 sq. meters, will showcase cutting-edge technologies, innovations, and solutions across the electricity value chain.
Featuring thematic zones encompassing power generation, transmission, renewable energy, energy storage, distribution, and smart grid technologies, the exhibition will also include areas dedicated to energy innovation, startups, and emerging technologies. The event will witness participation from representatives of more than 80 countries, reflecting the increasing global interest in India’s evolving power sector and its leadership in fostering a resilient, affordable, and sustainable energy transition.
