India is set to participate in the U-19 & U-23 Asian Boxing Championships with a blend of experienced athletes and rising stars. Vishvanath Suresh, the reigning Asian champion, and Chandrika Bhoresh Pujari, a gold medalist, will lead India’s challenge at the event starting on July 3 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The Boxing Federation of India has unveiled its squads for both age categories, aiming to offer young boxers a platform for international exposure and progression to senior levels. Vishvanath will spearhead the men’s U-23 team, while Chandrika will lead the girls’ campaign in the U-19 category.
The squads feature a mix of talented boxers across various weight divisions.
