India has issued a stern warning to Pakistan, emphasizing its determination to protect itself from cross-border terrorism. India’s Permanent Representative at the United Nations, P Harish, urged Pakistan to definitively halt its support for all terrorist activities. Harish highlighted that Pakistan must acknowledge the repercussions of its terrorist sponsorship.
In response to Pakistan’s representative’s remarks during a Security Council debate, Harish reiterated India’s right to defend against cross-border terrorism. He criticized Pakistan for its ongoing use of terrorism, religious extremism, and anti-India rhetoric. Harish emphasized the need for Pakistan to cease its malevolent practices.
Addressing the long-standing Kashmir dispute, Pakistan’s representative claimed that Security Council resolutions had not resolved the issue due to India’s actions. However, Harish pointed out that Pakistan had failed to comply with Council demands regarding Kashmir. He asserted that Kashmir legally became a part of India through accession and criticized Pakistan for its aggression and support of terrorism.
During a Council session, Pakistan attempted to engage in a verbal exchange with India, including references to “Hindutva.” India chose not to dignify these remarks with a response, dismissing them as unworthy of serious consideration.
