An unbeaten half-century by Bharti Fulmalli and strong performances from spinners Radha Yadav and Shreyanka Patil led India to a 26-run victory over West Indies in a warm-up match ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. India, coming off a recent Women’s Cricket World Cup win, posted 179/8 and restricted West Indies to 153/8. Fulmalli’s 56 not out, along with Radha and Shreyanka’s seven wickets, were instrumental in India’s win.
India’s openers, Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma, started well with a 59-run partnership. Mandhana’s 39 off 39 balls set the tone. Despite a middle-order wobble, Fulmalli and Yastika Bhatia’s 60-run stand steadied the innings. Fulmalli’s aggressive 40-ball innings, including six boundaries and a six, guided India to a competitive total.
In response, West Indies’ Deandra Dottin and Shemaine Campbelle put up a fight with a 63-run opening stand, but the team struggled to keep up with the required run rate. The spin duo of Shreyanka and Radha turned the game in India’s favor, leading to a collapse in the West Indies’ middle order. Dottin’s 41 off 49 balls was not enough as India’s bowlers dominated, securing a comfortable win.
