The India women’s team displayed a dominant performance, defeating Singapore 25-0 in their final Pool A match of the Hockey U18 Asia Cup. This victory secured India the top spot in the pool and a place in the semifinals with an unbeaten record.
India showcased their attacking prowess with ten different players contributing to the scoreline. Nousheen Naz led the charge with an impressive seven goals, followed by Geethasri Nammi who scored five goals and was named the ‘Player of the Match’. Captain Sweety Kujur also made a significant impact with four goals.
Priyanka Minz completed a hat-trick, while Diya, Nancy Saroha, Shruti Kumari, Pushpa Manjhi, Rashmeen Kaur, and Sandeepa Kumari added to the goal tally. The Indian team’s early intent was evident as they took the lead early on and maintained their dominance throughout the game.
In the second quarter, India continued their strong performance with quick goals from Nousheen, Priyanka, and Sweety. The goal frenzy continued in the following quarters, with multiple players finding the back of the net and contributing to India’s comprehensive victory.
