The National Integrity and Educational Development Organisation (NIEDO) in Assam’s Tinsukia district, supported by the Indian Army, celebrated a significant achievement as 30 out of 45 students qualified for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) 2026. This initiative, backed by the Red Shield Division of the Indian Army, offers free residential coaching to deserving students from economically weaker backgrounds, aiding them in their medical entrance exam preparations.
The program’s primary goal is to provide top-notch coaching and mentorship to talented students from underprivileged backgrounds, paving the way for them to pursue careers in the medical field. Noteworthy among the successful candidates is Roshan Kujur from Dighaltarrang Tea Estate in Tinsukia, who scored 402 marks in NEET 2026. Despite facing financial challenges after losing his father at a young age, Roshan’s determination and hard work led him to excel in one of the toughest entrance exams in the country.
Roshan’s accomplishment symbolizes the resilience of students who triumph over personal and economic obstacles through dedication and access to educational support. The success of these students is attributed to their commitment, the guidance provided by NIEDO’s faculty and mentors, and the unwavering backing from the Indian Army. The free residential coaching program, a vital educational initiative in Upper Assam, has been instrumental in providing students from disadvantaged families with a platform to compete for medical college admissions nationwide.
