Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi met with Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, Lieutenant General Edvard Asryan in New Delhi. Discussions during the meeting focused on the current geostrategic situation, strengthening defense cooperation, expanding military engagement, and advancing collaboration between the two nations in areas of mutual interest. Lieutenant General Asryan, on an official visit to India, also held discussions with Defense Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh regarding defense cooperation.
Lieutenant General Asryan further engaged with Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal A P Singh to enhance operational cooperation, interoperability, and strengthen bilateral air power ties. The officials discussed issues related to bilateral cooperation in the defense sector. Additionally, Lieutenant General Asryan met with Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan to explore joint ventures in the development of military hardware.
The interactions between the Indian and Armenian military officials signify the continuous progress of India-Armenia Defense Relations.
