An Indian Army contingent has set off for Cambodia to participate in the joint military exercise ‘CINBAX-II’. This exercise marks the second edition of the India-Cambodia Bilateral Military Exercise, focusing on counter-terrorism operations in jungle and semi-urban areas. The collaboration aims to enhance military effectiveness in sub-conventional environments through joint training at the company level.
Officials have highlighted that the exercise will prioritize Company level joint training for sub-conventional operations. Participants will engage in knowledge exchange, sharing modern techniques, and reinforcing synergy on the field, with a particular emphasis on counter-terrorism strategies. Experts emphasize the critical role of such operations in today’s global security landscape.
The exercise, scheduled from May 4 to May 17, will take place at the Techo Sen Phnom Thom Mreas Prov Royal Cambodian Air Force Training Centre. With 120 military personnel from the Indian Army and 160 from the Royal Cambodian Army, the exercise underscores the commitment to strengthening bilateral military partnerships. It aligns with the evolving global security challenges and aims to enhance interoperability and operational coordination between the two countries.
This joint military exercise, ‘CINBAX-II’, is part of India’s broader vision for regional and global peace, reflecting a shared commitment to security and stability. By focusing on specialized skill training, including drone operations and sniper tactics, the exercise seeks to demonstrate the capabilities of both nations in maintaining global peace. It is expected to foster the sharing of best practices against potential threats in semi-urban settings.
