The Indian Army is demonstrating its latest weapons systems and operational capabilities in various border states in the Northeast to underscore its readiness, technological prowess, and dedication to safeguarding the region’s security and territorial integrity.
Defence spokesman Lt Col Mahendra Rawat mentioned that the Spearhead Division of Spear Corps organized a “Know Your Army” outreach campaign for school students in Likabali, Arunachal Pradesh. The event aimed to enhance awareness, patriotism, and career aspirations for the Indian Armed Forces.
During the campaign, students received motivational talks from courageous soldiers who shared their real-life experiences of service, sacrifice, and leadership. They were also briefed on different entry pathways into the Armed Forces, such as NDA, TES, IMA, Indian Air Force, Indian Navy, Short Service Commission, and other opportunities.
The interactive sessions included visits to an Army museum and hands-on displays of modern military equipment, vehicles, and gear. This engagement allowed students to interact closely with soldiers, ask questions, and gain firsthand insights into life in uniform. The outreach initiative successfully sparked curiosity, discipline, and a strong sense of national pride among the youth, inspiring many to aspire to serve the nation.
The Indian Army remains dedicated to nation-building by engaging with young citizens and guiding them towards meaningful careers in defense services. In a separate event earlier this month, a weapons and equipment display was held at the Albert Ekka War Memorial in Agartala, Tripura’s capital, to familiarize students and citizens, especially the youth, with the Indian Army’s values, capabilities, and commitment to nation-building. Additionally, a similar display was organized at the Tripura Institute of Technology (TIT) in Agartala to motivate students and instill patriotism and a sense of nation-building.
