The second edition of the Indian-Cambodia joint military exercise CINBAX-II 2026 has wrapped up in Cambodia after a two-week engagement focused on enhancing tactical coordination and interoperability between the Indian Army and the Royal Cambodian Army. The exercise, held in Cambodia’s Kampong Speu Province, concluded on May 16 with a closing ceremony at the Royal Cambodian Air Force Training Centre.
During the exercise, soldiers from both countries showcased professionalism and commitment while conducting tactical drills over 14 days. The joint military drill aimed to improve interoperability, operational coordination, and tactical understanding between the two forces. Training activities included various exercises such as drone operations, sniper training, mortar handling, and field simulations of modern combat scenarios.
The significance of CINBAX-II 2026 lies in strengthening bilateral military relations and fostering ties between India and Cambodia. This exercise is part of India’s broader strategy to enhance defense cooperation with ASEAN nations under its Act East Policy and deepen strategic engagement in the Indo-Pacific region.
