Members of the Indian community in Melbourne organized a ‘Vedic Havan’ for Prime Minister Narendra Modi before his upcoming visit to Australia. Praising PM Modi’s leadership, a community member highlighted his global recognition and the pride he brings to India wherever he goes. The ‘havan’ was held to wish for PM Modi’s long and healthy life.
Expressing deep admiration for PM Modi, another community member emphasized the increased respect the Indian community in Australia has garnered due to the Prime Minister’s influence. He noted the growing support and friendship extended to the community since Modi’s tenure. Additionally, the community welcomed PM Modi’s initiatives benefiting Indians living abroad.
India’s High Commissioner to Australia, Nagesh Singh, affirmed both nations’ commitment to a free, peaceful, rule-based international order and Indo-Pacific region. Singh mentioned the significant anticipation surrounding PM Modi’s address at an Indian community event in Melbourne, expecting a large turnout and enthusiastic participation from across Australia.
Highlighting the shared values and objectives between India and Australia, the Indian diplomat emphasized the countries’ mutual desire for a rule-based international order and peace in the Indo-Pacific region. Stressing the value-based relationship, he underscored the importance of peace, development, and cooperation between the two nations for regional stability and progress.
