Indian cricketer Shivam Dube described his challenging yet thrilling train journey back home with his family following the T20 World Cup 2026 victory. Opting for a 3rd AC coach due to unavailability of flights from Ahmedabad to Mumbai, Dube took precautions to avoid being recognized by fans.
In a video shared by Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Dube shared his experience of traveling incognito. Despite the post-World Cup buzz, he managed to stay inconspicuous by resting on the top berth during the journey.
Dube recalled a similar train journey last year during a BPCL tournament in Baroda, emphasizing the convenience of train travel for reaching home swiftly. He highlighted the importance of such low-key travels for maintaining privacy and avoiding undue attention.
Sanju Samson, another member of the World Cup-winning team, is set to join Dube at Chennai Super Kings. Dube welcomed Samson to the team, assuring him of a comfortable and pressure-free environment in Chennai for focused practice and training ahead of the IPL 2026 season.
Dube’s role in the upcoming IPL season with CSK is anticipated to be significant, with the team commencing their campaign against the Rajasthan Royals on March 30 at Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati.
