The CCI Snooker Classic 2026 will feature top Indian cue sport players, including Pankaj Advani, a 27-time IBSF World Champion. The prestigious event will kick off at the Cricket Club of India’s Wilson Jones Billiards Hall on March 6.
Advani, the current National and Asian snooker champion, has dominated the tournament by winning the last three titles consecutively. Other notable players like Ishpreet Singh, Aditya Mehta, Kamal Chawla, Faisal Khan, and Brijesh Damani are also set to compete in the upcoming event.
The tournament will commence with qualifying rounds spread over three stages. Sixteen winners from the third stage will advance to challenge the 16 seeded players in the main knockout draw during the fourth stage.
With a prize pool of ₹13.5 lakh, the competition is expected to be fierce in the initial rounds. The knockout phase promises thrilling battles for victory, with the champion set to claim ₹3.5 lakh and the runner-up receiving ₹1.75 lakh. The final match is scheduled for March 22.
In the previous year’s edition, Advani staged a remarkable comeback to defeat Ishpreet Singh Chadha 8-6 in the final of the Rs 13.5 all-India snooker tournament. The intense final, played over three sessions, saw Advani exhibit resilience and fighting spirit to secure victory.
