Indian players Arjun Singh and Aditya Singh secured the gold medal in the Men’s Doubles 5.0 category at the US Open Pickleball Championship 2026. They made a remarkable comeback in the final, defeating J Meode and W Lin 9-11, 11-2, 11-7 to claim the title.
In a separate event, Panth Thakkar and Atharva Sheth earned the silver medal in the Men’s Doubles 4.5 category. Despite a close match, they were defeated by Caian Appel and Michael Van Dusen with a score of 8-11, 9-11.
The ongoing championship in Naples, Florida, marks India’s debut participation under the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA). Arjun & Aditya Singh expressed gratitude for the support received from the Maharashtra Pickleball Association and the Indian Pickleball Association in achieving their success.
Suryaveer Singh Bhullar, President of the Indian Pickleball Association, commended the players for their performance at the US Open. He highlighted India’s success with 4 gold medals and a total of 6 medals, emphasizing the country’s growing presence on the global pickleball stage.
Arjun Singh’s victory at the US Open Pickleball Championship marks his third gold medal at the event and his second alongside his brother Aditya. India’s overall medal count at the championship now includes six medals, with four golds, one silver, and one bronze.
