External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar arrived in Mongolia to enhance cooperation between the two nations. He was warmly welcomed by Mongolia’s State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Munktushig Ilkhanajav. Jaishankar expressed his pleasure at being in Mongolia and looks forward to productive discussions to advance their special partnership.
During his official visit to Mongolia and the Republic of Korea from June 22 to 25, Jaishankar aims to boost India’s partnerships across strategic, economic, and technological sectors. In Mongolia, he is scheduled to meet with the Mongolian leadership and hold talks with Foreign Minister B. Battsetseg to strengthen bilateral ties.
India and Mongolia share a strong relationship based on cultural, spiritual, and democratic values. The visit underscores the historical diplomatic ties between the two countries, which have expanded across political, economic, and cultural domains over the years. This visit follows Jaishankar’s meeting with Mongolian President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa in India in October 2025, signaling a commitment to further deepening bilateral relations.
