Aravind V.K., known as ‘Myztiq Mayaman’ in the magic world, has been appointed as the South Asian Ambassador of the International Magicians Society (IMS). This appointment marks a significant achievement as he becomes the first Indian technologist-magician to hold this prestigious international position. Aravind’s recognition follows his Merlin Award win in 2025 in Las Vegas, a top honor in magic likened to the “Oscar of Magic.”
Aravind’s unique blend of technology, magic, and filmmaking has earned him the title of “Most Magical Techie & Filmmaker.” His innovative approach intertwines digital engineering, psychological illusion, and narrative storytelling, a style rarely seen in the history of the International Magicians Society. As the South Asian Ambassador, Aravind is not only recognized as a performer but also as a global innovator and thought leader in modern magic.
In his new role, Aravind will represent the IMS in South Asia, working to promote the art of magic and mentor emerging talents in the region. Hailing from a humble village in Kerala, Aravind’s journey showcases a unique fusion of scientific expertise and artistic creativity. While working as a senior data engineer in the US, he passionately creates technology-driven magic experiences integrating artificial intelligence, psychology, and cinematic storytelling.
Aravind views his ambassadorial role as both an honor and a responsibility. He sees this position as a chance to showcase South Asia on the global stage, emphasizing that artistic innovation can progress alongside technological advancements. Through his connections with international institutions and emerging artists, Aravind aims to bolster India’s presence in the global creative arena.
