Indian Naval Ship Sudarshini, representing India, sailed into New York Harbour for the Parade of Sail, marking the United States’ 250th anniversary and the US International Naval Review. Departing for New York after successful engagements at Norfolk and Baltimore, INS Sudarshini’s presence on the 4th of July highlighted India’s commitment to maritime partnership and its enduring seafaring heritage. The ship’s participation in the SAIL4th 250 New York and SAIL Boston events emphasized India’s dedication to maritime friendship, cooperation, and mutual trust among nations.
INS Sudarshini’s arrival at Baltimore port underscored India’s rich maritime heritage and the strong bonds of friendship and cooperation between the Indian and US navies. The vessel’s transoceanic expedition, Lokayan 26, included a significant journey through the historic Chesapeake and Delaware Canal, passing beneath major mid-Atlantic bridges.
