Indian Navy’s Eastern Fleet Ships, Udaygiri, Shakti, and Kavaratti, have arrived at Sattahip in Thailand to enhance interoperability and strengthen professional cooperation. Led by RAdm Alok Ananda, FOCEF, the visit aims to promote greater understanding with the Royal Thai Navy through operational interactions and community outreach activities. This port call reflects India’s commitment to its Act East policy and reinforces cooperative maritime security in the Indo-Pacific.
Udaygiri and Kavaratti also visited Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, to foster professional exchanges and strengthen maritime cooperation. Under the command of Rear Admiral Alok Ananda, YSM, the Indian Navy ships arrived in Ho Chi Minh City to further enhance maritime partnerships between India and Vietnam. Maritime cooperation is a key aspect of the Enhanced Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries.
The delegation, comprising 610 officers and sailors, was warmly welcomed by representatives from Vietnam’s military, diplomatic agencies, and Ho Chi Minh City authorities. During the visit, personnel from both navies engaged in professional exchanges, cultural interactions, and collaborative activities to strengthen mutual understanding and foster lasting professional relationships.
