The Indian Police Service Association in Madhya Pradesh has strongly criticized BJP MLA Pritam Singh Lodhi for making offensive and threatening comments towards Sub-Divisional Officer Ayush Jakhar. The Association labeled the language used by the MLA as indecent and unacceptable, citing a viral video that captured the derogatory remarks aimed at the officer and his family.
President of the Indian Police Service Association in Madhya Pradesh, Chanchal Shekhar, denounced the behavior of the MLA, stating that such conduct is inappropriate for a public representative and undermines the morale of the administrative system. Shekhar emphasized the importance of allowing civil servants to carry out their duties without fear or undue pressure.
The Association expressed its disapproval of targeting a newly appointed officer, deeming it highly objectionable and detrimental to institutional integrity. Demanding appropriate action against the MLA, the Association highlighted the need to address the incident that arose following a road accident involving the MLA’s son in Shivpuri district.
The controversy escalated as the MLA criticized the police’s handling of the incident, alleging interference from Delhi and expressing dissatisfaction with the actions taken against his son. In a viral video, the MLA issued a warning to the Sub-Divisional Officer of Police, threatening consequences if the officer did not comply with his demands within a specified timeframe. The threatening remarks made by the MLA have sparked widespread outrage and condemnation.
Reports also surfaced of the MLA previously issuing threats to Shivpuri Superintendent of Police Aman Singh Rathore during a public interaction. The Indian Police Service Association lamented the incident occurring on Civil Services Day and reiterated its call for strict action against public representatives who fail to show restraint and respect towards civil servants.
