Indian professionals are gaining global acclaim for their talent and skills, with Rajasthan Chief Secretary V. Srinivas emphasizing their significant contributions worldwide. Speaking at a ‘Women Drivers’ Felicitation Ceremony in Jaipur, he highlighted the role of the Rajasthan Foundation in connecting non-resident Rajasthanis with their home state and providing information on overseas job opportunities.
The Chief Secretary mentioned that the Pravasi Rajasthan Diwas showcased the demand for skilled drivers proficient in operating left-hand drive vehicles, leading to the establishment of specialized driving tracks in Rajasthan for internationally aligned training. Organizations like the Azad Foundation and Sakha are also paving the way for women’s employment and empowerment, setting a positive example for others to follow.
At the Rajasthan International Centre, six women, who overcame challenges to pursue their dreams, were honored by receiving car keys after completing professional driver training. These women, including Sanju, Vinita, Sona, Sumitra, and Sandhya, demonstrated resilience and self-reliance in building successful careers as professional drivers despite facing social and financial obstacles.
The ceremony concluded with the formal flag-off of the newly trained women drivers, attended by dignitaries such as Bhawani Singh Detha, Alka Sharma, Srinivas Rao, and other esteemed guests.
