A quartet of Indian runners, Dharamveer Choudhary, Rajesh Ramesh, Vishal TK, and Manu T.S., achieved a season-best time of 3:00.32 seconds in the men’s 4x400m event at the World Athletics Relays in Gaborone. They finished fourth in their heat on the first day of the competition.
In cricket, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) comfortably chased down a target of 160 against Mumbai Indians (MI). Ruturaj Gaikwad scored an unbeaten 67 off 48 balls, while Kartik Sharma made his maiden IPL half-century with 54 not out.
Kartik, at 20 years and 6 days, became the second youngest CSK player to score an IPL fifty. The duo’s partnership of 98 runs off 75 balls for the third wicket guided CSK to an eight-wicket victory over MI, marking their biggest win against their rivals in the IPL.
