Indian Railways has announced the operation of special fare summer trains between Malda Town and Udhna to manage the increased passenger traffic during the peak travel season. The train services, numbered 09033/09034 Malda Town–Udhna Special, will run on a fixed schedule from April to July, offering a mix of air-conditioned, sleeper, and general class coaches to accommodate various passenger categories.
The 09033 Udhna–Malda Town Special will depart from Udhna at 11 p.m. every Thursday between April 9 and July 23, covering a total of 16 trips and reaching Malda Town at 11:00 a.m. on the third day. On the return journey, the 09034 Malda Town–Udhna Special will leave Malda Town at 9:30 a.m. every Sunday from April 12 to July 26, with 16 trips scheduled and arrival at Udhna at 1:20 a.m. on the third day.
The summer trains will include halts at key stations in both directions, such as New Farakka, Barharwa, Sahibganj, Kahalgaon, Bhagalpur, Sultanganj, Jamalpur, and Abhaipur. The train composition will cater to varied passenger needs with General Second Class, Sleeper Class, and air-conditioned accommodations.
