The Indian shooting contingent excelled at the ISSF Junior World Championship 2026 in Suhl, Germany, by securing four additional medals. Pritam Kendre claimed the gold medal in the 10m Air Rifle Men Junior event, marking India’s fifth gold at the championship. Anjali Mahendra Bhagwat, Parisha Gupta, and Nithila Ivy Darling Praveen Christopher combined to win a bronze in the 25m Pistol Women Junior Team event.
India also clinched a bronze in the 25m Pistol Men Junior Team event, thanks to the strong performance of Abhinav Choudhary, Raj Chandra, and Jatin. Anvii Rathod contributed to India’s medal tally by winning a bronze in the 10m Air Rifle Women Junior event, showcasing India’s consistent performance at the championship.
With these latest medals, India’s total count now stands at 12 (5 Gold, 1 Silver, and 6 Bronze), maintaining its lead in the medal standings. The Indian contingent’s dominance in both individual and team events underscores their impressive performance at the championship.
In other events, Sameer secured a gold in the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men Junior event, while Rohit Kanyan claimed the gold in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Men Junior event. Additionally, Prachi Gaikwad earned a silver in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Women Junior event, further enhancing India’s success at the championship.
