The Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN‑SPACe) led a delegation of Indian space-tech firms to Space Meetings Veneto 2026 in Venice, Italy, showcasing India’s commitment to enhancing international collaborations in the private space sector. Industry leaders, startups, policymakers, and technology providers convened at the event, where the Indian delegation engaged in strategic discussions with the Italian Space Industry Study Group to foster deeper commercial and technological ties between the two nations.
Karnataka-based Astrobase Space Technologies inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Impulso Space to facilitate customer access and explore launch opportunities through integrated mission management and launch service networks. Additionally, Kepler Aerospace entered into a framework agreement with Apogeo Space to bolster global Ground Station as a Service (GSaaS) infrastructure and enhance satellite cooperation between India and Europe.
The collaboration aims to explore synergies in CubeSat systems, payload technologies, satellite infrastructure, and mission operations. Nine Indian space-tech companies participated in the delegation, unveiling various collaborative initiatives. VyomIC, another firm, presented its technological portfolio during the event and announced a strategic partnership focusing on developing next-generation navigation and resilient infrastructure technologies.
Dr. P.K. Jain, Director of Program Management and Authorization Directorate (PMAD) at IN-SPACe, emphasized that India’s presence at Space Meetings Veneto underscores the increasing global confidence in the country’s space capabilities and private sector ecosystem. The engagements resulted in significant strategic alliances between Indian and international space entities, reflecting the competitiveness and global readiness of Indian space enterprises.
The recent visit reciprocates the Italian Aerospace Delegation’s trip to India in 2025, aligning with efforts to deepen commercial space cooperation between India and Italy. This initiative also corresponds with the 2025–2029 India–Italy Joint Strategic Action Plan announced during the G20 Summit 2024.
