The National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) selection committee has revealed a 22-member Indian team for the ISSF World Cup Munich. Notably, Manu Bhaker and Esha Singh are the only squad members set to compete in two individual pistol events, with Manu also participating in the mixed team pistol event. The prestigious ISSF World Cup Rifle/Pistol is scheduled from May 24 to 31 in Munich, Germany.

The competition will kick off with the 25m Pistol Women Precision Stage at the iconic OlympiaschieBanlage in Munich. The event will witness the participation of 696 athletes from 80 countries, including numerous Olympic and world champions. This World Cup serves as a crucial platform for shooters to assess their skills against top-tier competitors before major upcoming events.

India, having secured a gold in the Granada World Cup, is sending its top-ranked rifle and pistol shooters to Munich for their first international competition of the year. The Indian team boasts a blend of seasoned veterans and promising young talents, gearing up to face stiff competition from elite shooters in Munich. Notable members include Rahi Sarnobat, Samrat Rana, Anish Bhanwala, and Elavenil Valarivan.

Debutants like Sakshi Padekar and Suraj Sharma bring fresh talent to the Indian squad. Sakshi, a standout performer in qualifications, has already made a mark with her exceptional scores. On the other hand, Suraj, the youngest debutant at just 18, has shown remarkable progress in his shooting career. The Indian team also features Ajendra Singh Chauhan and Udhayveer Sidhu, each bringing their own set of skills and achievements to the competition.
