India’s young boxers are gearing up to participate in the World Boxing Futures Cup 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand, from March 8 to March 15. This tournament will bring together talented young boxers from various countries, offering them a valuable chance to showcase their skills on an international platform.
The Indian team will be competing in the Youth Olympic weight categories, a significant step in their journey towards qualifying for the Youth Olympic Games. With a 10-member squad, including both men and women boxers, India aims to make a mark in this global boxing event.
Boxing Federation of India President Ajay Singh emphasized the importance of the World Boxing Futures Cup in providing young boxers with exposure to top international talent. He expressed confidence in the team’s abilities and highlighted the significance of competing in the Youth Olympic weight divisions.
The competition, hosted by the Thailand Boxing Association in Bangkok, will feature preliminary bouts starting on March 8, leading up to the finals on March 15. Indian youth boxers, who excelled at the Asian Youth Games last year, are eager to gain more international experience and showcase India’s strength in youth boxing.
