India’s renowned archer, Rajat Chauhan, serving as Deputy Superintendent of Police in Rajasthan, was awarded the DGP Commendation Disc by the Director General of Police, Rajasthan, Rajeev Kumar Sharma. Rajat’s exceptional achievements in national and international sports led to this recognition for his outstanding performance.
Rajat has excelled as a sportsperson, representing both India and the police department in various international competitions. His remarkable accomplishments include winning two gold medals in the World Cup 2022 and securing medals at prestigious events like the World Police Games and Asia Archery Cup.
Expressing his gratitude, Rajat stated, “I am very happy as I have been honoured by my department. I will continue to make my department proud through my performances in sports and bring more recognition to Rajasthan Police at the international level.”
Rajat’s dedication to archery was further highlighted when compound archery was included in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. His long-standing dream of an Olympic medal was evident when he got a tattoo of the five Olympic rings on his right arm in 2016, showcasing his anticipation and excitement for the upcoming opportunity.
