India’s Ambassador to Hungary, Anshuman Gaur, recently met with Klara Breuer, the newly appointed State Secretary for Bilateral Affairs at the Hungarian Ministry for Foreign Affairs. The discussions centered on ways to strengthen and broaden the partnership between India and Hungary. Both sides expressed their commitment to enhancing cooperation based on mutual respect and shared democratic values.
During the meeting, various aspects of bilateral relations were explored, with a focus on energizing the existing partnership for mutual benefits. The Indian Embassy in Budapest conveyed best wishes to Klara Breuer for her new role and emphasized the importance of nurturing the relationship under her leadership.
In a separate engagement, Ambassador Gaur met with Agnes Forsthoffer, the Speaker of Hungary’s National Assembly, to deliberate on enhancing bilateral cooperation and fostering parliamentary exchanges. The establishment of an India-Hungary Parliamentary Friendship Group was also announced, reflecting the shared commitment to democratic principles and collaboration between the two nations.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi previously congratulated Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar and his Tisza Party on their significant victory in Hungary’s parliamentary elections. PM Modi highlighted the deep-rooted friendship and shared values between India and Hungary, expressing eagerness to strengthen bilateral cooperation and advance the India-EU Strategic Partnership for mutual prosperity.
