India’s Ambassador to Slovakia, Apoorva Srivastava, met with Slovakia’s Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Juraj Blanar to reinforce the bilateral partnership. Expressing India’s dedication to enhancing relations, Ambassador Srivastava highlighted the mutual commitment to strengthening ties across various sectors in the future.
During a recent State visit to Slovakia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged in discussions with Slovakian leaders, including Prime Minister Robert Fico and President Peter Pellegrini. The talks encompassed areas such as manufacturing, transport, innovation, investment, energy, biofuels, and digital technology cooperation, emphasizing the potential for collaboration.
PM Modi and President Pellegrini attended an exhibition in Bratislava showcasing Varanasi, featuring artworks by Slovak artists who had visited the Indian city. Slovakia honored PM Modi with the Order of the White Double Cross (1st Class), underscoring the countries’ commitment to deepening their partnership.
In their meeting, PM Modi and PM Fico explored avenues for cooperation in trade, investment, defense, security, technology, space, nuclear energy, education, culture, and people-to-people exchanges. They also discussed regional and global issues, including the significance of implementing the India-EU Free Trade Agreement for trade, investment, and employment opportunities.
Both leaders agreed to enhance India-Slovakia relations to a Comprehensive Partnership, with outcomes in digital technology, defense, cybersecurity, post-quantum technologies, audio-visual creation, mobility, and scientific cooperation, including nuclear advancements.
