India’s batter Bharti Fulmali is optimistic about India’s performance in the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, citing early preparation and match exposure as key factors in adapting to English conditions. Following a 26-run victory against West Indies in a warm-up match in Cardiff, Fulmali emphasized the importance of warm-up games in acclimatizing to tournament conditions. She expressed her excitement about playing in a World Cup and highlighted the significance of understanding pitch conditions for better performance.

Fulmali, a pivotal middle-order player for India, played a crucial role in the victory, scoring an unbeaten 56 off 40 deliveries. Her recent international experiences in Australia and South Africa have boosted her confidence, contributing to her strong performance. The team’s thorough preparation in England before the competition has been a significant advantage, according to Fulmali, positioning India well for the tournament.

India’s all-round performance against West Indies showcased a balanced team effort, with the bowlers successfully defending a total of 179 runs. This victory underscored the squad’s depth and competitiveness as players vie for spots in the playing XI. With a forthcoming warm-up match against England, India aims to further refine their strategies before embarking on their quest for a maiden Women’s T20 World Cup title.
