Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan and UK’s Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sir Harvey Smyth, recently held discussions in New Delhi. The meeting focused on progress in training exchanges, intelligence collaboration, and integrated military engagement between the two nations. General Anil Chauhan praised the successful conduct of the 17th Military Sub Group Meeting and expressed confidence in deepening the defense engagement between India and the UK.
UK’s High Commissioner to India, Lindy Cameron, along with other officials, were also present during the meeting. The Headquarters of Integrated Defence Staff highlighted the growing strength of the India-United Kingdom Defense Partnership. The exchange of instructors and advancements in Defense Intelligence collaboration were emphasized as key aspects of bilateral cooperation.
Air Chief Marshal Sir Harvey Smyth, Chief of the Air Staff, Royal Air Force, visited India officially and met with Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal A P Singh. Discussions during the meeting centered on enhancing operational cooperation, interoperability, and strengthening air power ties. Additionally, Air Chief Marshal Sir Harvey Smyth paid tribute to the Bravehearts of the Indian Armed Forces at the National War Memorial in New Delhi.
