India’s engineering exports reached a record high of $11.01 billion in November, the highest for this fiscal year. This growth was primarily fueled by increased shipments to the US and EU, with exports to these top destinations rising significantly. The Engineering Export Promotion Council of India reported a substantial 23.76% growth in November 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, when exports were at $8.90 billion.

Engineering exports exceeding $11 billion in November 2025 marked a significant milestone for the industry this fiscal year. Pankaj Chadha, Chairman of EEPC India, attributed this achievement to the resilient efforts of the exporting community, rebounding from a 17% decline in October 2025. Chadha highlighted the positive impact of global trade trends on the growth of engineering exports.

The recent approval of the Export Promotion Mission and trade agreements with Oman and New Zealand are expected to further boost engineering goods exports. Chadha expressed optimism about potential future Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) with the EU and Bilateral Trade Agreement (BTA) with the US, emphasizing the need for exporters to remain cautious amid global trade volatility.

In November 2025, 32 out of 34 product panels reported increased exports compared to the previous year. Notable growth was observed in segments such as motor vehicles, ships, industrial machinery, electric equipment, and copper products. Engineering exports to the US totaled $1.58 billion in November 2025, up from $1.42 billion in the same period last year, while exports to the EU stood at $2.02 billion, a significant increase from $1.46 billion in November 2024.

North America and the EU maintained their positions as the top two export regions for Indian engineering goods. Export growth was evident across all regions in November 2025, indicating a positive trend in global trade. Cumulatively, engineering exports for April-November 2025-26 were 4.25% higher at $79.74 billion compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year.
