Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV), the country’s sole Central university dedicated to transportation and logistics education, is enhancing its academic, research, and industry-linked offerings as Vadodara gears up to host the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) for the Central Gujarat region.
Established on December 6, 2022, under the guidance of the Central government and with state government support, GSV has become a specialized institution focusing on nurturing skilled manpower for India’s transport, logistics, and infrastructure sectors. The university’s growth aligns with Gujarat’s efforts to attract more investment and drive technology-driven progress through regional conferences under the Vibrant Gujarat initiative.
The upcoming VGRC in Vadodara is anticipated to provide a platform to exhibit the city’s industrial, educational, and infrastructure capabilities, fostering investment and innovation in the region. Situated in Vadodara’s Lalbaug area, GSV offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in transportation and logistics-related fields.
With over 1,000 students from 23 states currently enrolled in various B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, and PhD programs, GSV is also in the process of establishing a second campus in Waghodia, Vadodara. The university’s academic offerings are in line with the Centre’s PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan and the National Logistics Policy, covering areas such as railway systems, aviation, maritime engineering, supply chain management, and more.
