India’s Jemimah Rodrigues expressed how the team’s victory at the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup has fueled their desire for more success, likening it to an addiction. The team, gearing up for the upcoming T20 World Cup, will engage in a three-match T20I series against England as part of their preparations. India’s campaign in the tournament, commencing on June 12, includes matches against Pakistan, Australia, Bangladesh, the Netherlands, and South Africa.

Rodrigues emphasized the team’s heightened motivation following their World Cup win, highlighting the eagerness to secure another victory. She mentioned the team’s collective drive and determination to excel further, drawing inspiration from past successes. The players are focused on enhancing their performance after their early exit in the previous edition of the competition.

Ahead of their journey to England, Rodrigues shared a video on social media featuring her reunion with cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar for a musical collaboration. This reunion signifies a bond that originated during India’s victorious Women’s ODI World Cup campaign in 2025. The post was captioned with heartfelt gratitude towards Gavaskar for his mentorship and legendary status.
