Music composer-singer Shankar Mahadevan shared that the enduring charm of the soundtrack of “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara” lies in its heartfelt sincerity and emotional depth. He mentioned that the team did not aim to create travel or iconic songs but focused on sincerity. Mahadevan highlighted the film’s various emotional layers, stating that it goes beyond fun and friendship to evoke strong emotions through its songs.
Shankar Mahadevan emphasized the significance of songs like “Khwabon Ke Parindey” and “Der Lagi Lekin” in the film, noting how they resonate with different life situations. Celebrating 15 years in Hindi cinema, “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara” was directed by Zoya Akhtar and features actors Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol, Farhan Akhtar, Katrina Kaif, and Kalki Koechlin on a road trip in Spain.
Part of the Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy trio, Mahadevan, known for blending classical and modern music, received an honorary doctorate in 2023. His musical journey began with the Indi-pop album “Breathless,” leading to Grammy recognition and contributions to Bollywood hits like “Mitwa,” “Kajra Re,” and “Gallan Goodiyaan.”
